Age 93, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Husband for over 56 years to the late Helen M. Kuhn and also to the late Rita (Zietak) Kuhn; beloved father of Cynthia (the late Marino) Polis, Peter C. (Donna) Kuhn, Jr., Michele (Bob) Powell and Kristine Kuhn; grandfather of Marino (Dana) Polis, Gary (Bobbie Lynn) Polis, Judith Polis, Robert, Kelli, and Rachel Powell; great-grandfather of Kaylee, Gary, Jr., Monroe and Marino; brother of Elizabeth Juha and Anna Milano and the late Marie, Theresa, Tarsilla, John and Charles. Mr. Kuhn served proudly in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Philippines, also Past Commander of the South Side VFW Post 6675 from 1988 to 2005, also a lifetime fan of all the local sports teams, Pirates, Steelers, Penguins and Pitt. Friends received Friday 1-9 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home Inc., 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Saturday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 10:00 AM.
