Tara Marie Michael

Age 58, of Whitehall, formerly of the South Side, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Daughter of the late Homer and Johanna Michael. Beloved sister of Tim (Cathy) Michael, Shana Michael, and Kelly (Bill) Filipponi. Niece of Kitty Greeno. Aunt of Gemma (Perry), Garrett (Becky), Paige, Riley, Gianna, and Raffello. Great-aunt of Aidan and her special family, Wayne (Bernie) and Joey (Imy). Tara retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County. She was an avid thrift shopper and loved collecting antiques. Tara collected friends from every aspect of her life, everyone who knew her and called her friend will surely be missing her. Tara was truly one of a kind. Friends received Sunday 1-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St., where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM.
