Raymond B. "Hap" Carroll Sr.

Age 83, of Bethel Park, formerly of the South Side, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Beloved husband of Marie Carroll for 58 years; son of the late Walter, Sr. and Mary (Barker) Carroll; dear father of David Carroll, Marie (Roger) Monaco, Linda (Raymond) Woshner, Raymond (Amy Messner) Carroll, Jr., Darlene (Christopher) Allen, John (Jennifer Allen) Carroll, and Mark (Michele Betz) Carroll; grandfather of Anna Marie (Carl) Elm, Edward Kass, Lauren Kass, Matthew (Brittany) Allen, Jessica (Ryan) Watson, Daniel Carroll, Ryan Stanley, Shannon Carroll, Hannah Carroll, Sean Allen, Mark Carroll, Jr., Samuel Carroll, Michael Carroll, Sarah Carroll, and Jenna Carroll; great-grandfather of Jacob Elm, Cameron Davis, Lucas Elm, Ethan Davis, Declan Irwin, Benjamin Allen, and Amelia Watson; preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, John "Jack", Walter, Jr., James, Howard "Bud", Ronald, and Charles Carroll. Friends received, following CDC guidelines, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Friday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church, Prince of Peace Parish at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
