Patricia J. "Pat" (Zilaitis) Johnson

Age 81, formerly of the South Side, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Zilaitis; her daughter, Deborah Corey (Johnson), and many of her brothers and sisters. She is the beloved mother of Robert "Bob" (Sandra) Johnson, Brian (Dawn Koett) Johnson, Patricia "Patty" (Perry) Handy and Dale (Frances) Johnson. Loving grandmother of 12 and the youngest of her 12 siblings. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte "Dolly" Hinsch, and many nieces and nephews. Pat was one of the most intelligent and dedicated people you'd ever be lucky enough to know. She was very dedicated to the Saints, Padre Pio and Saint Therese. While she will be dearly missed and loved, her family remains in the comfort of knowing Mom has truly gone on to a better place. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St., following CDC guidelines. Funeral Prayer Wednesday 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church, Blessed Trinity Parish at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
