Peacefully at the Southwestern Veterans Center, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, age 85, of Baldwin. Beloved husband of the late Sissy (Winovich) Vukas; father of Tanya (Ken) Zajch and Milan G. Vukas; son of the late Milovan and Yeka Vukas; brother of Mary Alice Vukas and the late Nicholas and Rudy; favorite brother-in-law of George "Pootsie" (Patrice) Winovich. He will be missed by family, friends and Kumovi. Milan was happy-go-lucky, always helping someone and bringing people to Mom, worked at J & L and LTV Steel for 42 years, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, devoted member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, American Serbian Club, SNF Federation and a licensed electrician City of Pittsburgh Electrical Inspectors. Special thanks to the entire staff at the Southwestern Veterans Center for the past seven years. Friends received Monday 4-8 PM and Tuesday 2-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Service Wednesday 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral. Visitation one hour prior to service in the Cathedral. Pomen Service Tuesday Tuesday 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 450 Maxwell Dr., Pittsburgh, PA. 15236.
