Michael Rossman Obituary

Michael "Mike" E. Rossman, 64 of Clinton, PA, died Monday, April 7, 2025 at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, on June 12, 1960, the son of the late Frederick F. and Ann Elizabeth Rossman.

Mike was a 1978 graduate of South Hills High School and later served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Pittsburgh Communications (Pitt Comm in the North Hills) for 13 years as a Radio/Antenna Installer. Mike constructed Emergency Vehicles and climbed radio towers. He had no fear; tasks like climbing 750+ feet in inclement weather was a walk in the park for him. Mike was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 5 for 23 years. During this time, he was employed by the Allegheny County Airport Authority as an Electronics Technician for Pittsburgh International Airport. Some of his responsibilities included maintaining the security doors, runway and traffic lights, as well as HVAC systems, and setting up the PA system for airport announcements and communications. Mike also served as the Fire Training Operator for the Pittsburgh International Airports Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Training Program (ARFF). Throughout his career, Mike was recognized for his services and won awards to celebrate his many achievements.

Mike has always been known to all as Mr. Fix-it. He never left home without his tool bag. Anywhere he went, he was looking for things to fix. He had a knack for tinkering with and rebuilding machinery, generators, and pinball machines.

Mike enjoyed hiking, camping, listening to music, bird watching and most of all, going to Hamfests & flea markets with his family! He lived for Rogers, OH & Trader Jack's! Michael had a huge heart. He loved his family, especially his children and his pets: Pepper, Birdie, Bob-Cat, Muffy, Henry, Duke, Ari and his fish, Benny.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Blanchard Rossman; a son, Dylan Michael Rossman; a daughter, Samantha Ann Rossman; a brother, John Rossman; two sisters, Mary Jane (and the late Michael) Ciccone and Patricia (Robert) Boeltz; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer (Jim Sunseri) Mink and Bernadette (Matthew) Schanck; and many nieces and nephews, all in the Pittsburgh area. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Wilson and Glunt families for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
