Michael J. Overlingas

Michael J. Overlingas, of Baldwin, passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on August 8, 1969.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Overlingas; his beloved daughters, Amanda and Emma Overlingas; and his aunt, Dorothy Overlingas. Son of the late Joseph Overlingas and Lynn Tranter.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Baldwin and a proud graduate of Baldwin High School. He dedicated 33 years of service as a technician with Verizon before retiring.

Above all else, Michael cherished his daughters. They were his pride and joy, and anyone who knew him was well aware that they were the center of his world. He was someone who seemed to know everyone and was always willing to go out of his way to help those he loved.

Michael was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a kind-hearted man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 PM at Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, 2323 E. Carson St., where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
