Mary Jane (Pachuta) Mackay

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, just a month shy of her 86th birthday, beloved wife of the late Robert Mackay. Daughter of the late Paul R. and Mary (Fedor) Pachuta. Dear mother of Robert (Charity), Karen Hornak (Mark), Mary, and the late Paul James Mackay. Sister of Paul G. Pachuta (Carol) and Carole (Pachuta) Funaro. Grandmother of Paul Regis, Geoffrey, Amanda, Justin, Noah, Rebecca Gillenberger, and the late Ashley Mackay. Great-grandmother of Paul Regis, Jr., Tristan, Luke and Reagan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and too many lifelong friendships to name them all.

Mary Jane was born and raised in the Southside, and was a proud alumnus of South High School, Class of 1956. Many will remember her as the face to greet you at Stutz Pharmacy. She was a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Sibling and friend to all of those who knew her. She will be missed.

Friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday 9:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 1720 Jane St., Pittsburgh, PA 15203. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH)
