Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, after a battle with cancer, of Baldwin Borough, formerly of the South Side. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Pjontek; wife of the late Anthony R. Naple and Anthony "Sonny" Suchy; beloved mother of Robert A. (Karen) of Greer, S.C., Richard S. (Judy) of Katy, TX, Ronald (Karen) of Baldwin, David (Amy) of Kennedy Twp.; and stepdaughter, Barbara McKnight of Arizona; grandmother of Ryan, Brian (Nicole), Joseph (Amanda), Kristen, Alan (Christine), Ashley (Tyler) Suchy and the late Brandon; and step-grandson, Scott (Gloria) McKnight; great-grandma of Grace, Lucas, Quinn and step-great-grandchildren, Paul and Nicholas; sister of Michael (Patricia) and John (Kathleen) Pjontek and the late Dolores Smith, Eleanor Wagner and Rose Lijewski; also numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Best friend of Betty Milinski and Mary Christine Chervenak. She was the past President of Wreath 22 and a Supreme Officer of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, which was very dear to her. Mary Ann was proud of her Slovak heritage. She retired in 2002 from Fisher Scientific and worked at the Sokol Club Bingo from then until 2019. She loved her family and friends dearly and never met a Casino she didn't like. Special thanks to Bridget of Comfort Keepers and the hospice staff at AHN, Jefferson Hospital. Mom, you were the best! Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held in St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in Mary Ann's name to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or St. Peter's Child Development.
