Mary L. (Kapolka) Eglar

Age 94, of the South Side, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of 68 years to the late Frank Eglar; beloved mother of Bonnie (Bill) McCabe, Tere (the late Steve) Eglar-Bilsky and Steven (Nellie) Eglar; grandmother of Bill, Brigette, Tammy, Jessica, Heather, Caroline and Evan; great-grandmother of Kaylee, Delaney, Patrick, Harper, Reese, Catie and Sadie. Sister of Irene Rechtorik and the late Ann Yakopcic and Vincent Kapolka. Friends received Friday 2-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Saturday 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church, Mary, Queen of Peace Parish at 10:00 AM. Mary enjoyed 40 years in Hotel Management and retired from the William Penn Hotel in 1998.
