Linda Lee Brooks-Fritzley, 78, a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh's South Side, passed away at Whitehall Borough Post Acute on January 24, 2026, after a long illness. Linda was born on September 28, 1947, the daughter of William Frederick Joseph Fritzley and Helen Ada (Brenton) Fritzley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lana Maureen (Fritzley) Parsons; and her beloved children, Amy Jo Brooks and Jamie Andrew Brooks.
Linda is survived and will be dearly missed by her siblings, William "Bill" Fritzley, Laurence "Larry" Fritzley (Pat Bebout), Lynn (Kendra) Fritzley, and Laura Boehm (Tim Banks); her grandson, Jeffrey Brooks; her daughter-in-law, Bernadette Flanigan; and numerous dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She leaves behind many cherished memories of her kind and caring nature.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, 2323 E. Carson St., Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Per Linda's wishes, there will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Smile Train, www.smiletrain.org, a charity that was dear to her heart.
