Age 74, of the South Side, passed away on March 25, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 22, 1951, to the late Stephen and Cathryn (Woak) Terleski. Beloved wife of Harry G. "Colt" Barbour. Devoted mother of Cathryn "Katie" Korshlak (Edjie) and Nicole "Nikki" Wilding Marklewitz (Bill). Cherished grandmother of Ava, Logan, Cash, Sawyer, Audrey, Reese, Gwen, Crew, and Ace.
Linda graduated in 1969 from South High, marking the beginning of a journey filled with dedication and passion. Linda started her professional life at Lando's Pharmacy, where her commitment to serving others was evident. Later, she transitioned to working as a cafeteria manager in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. In both roles, she demonstrated an unwavering dedication to her work and the well-being of those she served.
Linda's greatest joy was being with her family and grandchildren. Her love for them was profound, and she will forever remain affectionately known as "Ma." She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Linda had a keenness for life that was reflected in her varied interests. She loved movies and "her stories." Baking apple pies was not only a hobby but a way to show her love. Shopping was another favorite pastime. She had a particular fondness for black pants and earrings, never quite seeming to have enough of them to satisfy her style. Above all, capturing moments through the lens of her camera brought her unparalleled joy. Taking photos of her loved ones was her favorite thing to do, preserving memories that would be cherished for years to come. Each snapshot was a testament to her love and devotion, a visual narrative of the people who meant the most to her.
Linda is survived by her eight siblings: Stephen M. (Judith), Kathleen (John Fredland), Marian Tain (Joseph), Elaine Smith (Robert Trakofler), Ann Miller (Charles, deceased), Roe Hurst (William), Donna Naser (Curt), and Nancy Scott (William), her cousin Deanna Porter, her former husband Edward Wilding and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda's legacy is one of love, dedication, and joy. Her impact on her family and friends is immeasurable. She leaves behind a trail of beautiful memories and a life well-lived, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her.
