Age 68, of the South Side of Pittsburgh, passed away on December 10, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born to parents, Joseph and Carmela Lorkowski on September 10, 1952. He graduated from South High School and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from the Heinz Corp. after 40 years of service. Joe enjoyed working on his house, collecting things (from coins to Beanie Babies) and was an avid Pitt fan. He is survived by his sons, Jay, Chris and Jason Lorkowski; and his grandchildren, Alivia Molinaro and Ethan Lorkowski. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Raymond (Cheryl) Lorkowski and his sisters, Irene (Chuck) Hall, Arlene (Bob) Mikszan, Carmie (Eric) Boyer and Michaelene (Stan) Uniatowski. Due to current health concerns, services will be held privately. When it is safe to gather again, when the risk of the current COVID pandemic is behind us, we will celebrate his life with family and friends. Arrangements by Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc.
