Of Brentwood/Whitehall, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2021, at the age of 91 at Paramount, South Hills. Helen was the youngest daughter of Valent and Anna (Klimchak) Pavlik; also predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Sister Henrietta, VSC, John, Andrew and Stephen. Helen was devout in her Catholic faith, praying countless rosaries daily for all who asked for her prayers. A longtime member of Prince of Peace Parish, South Side (formerly St. Matthew Parish). Helen served as a choir member for many years. She was also a sister Sokolka and a member of the First Slovak Catholic Ladies Association. Helen was employed at PPG Industries for 39 years. During her tenure, which began in the law department, Helen rose to become Administrative Secretary to two chairmen. Also she served as the Assistant Secretary and Manager of Legal Administration and Secretary Treasurer. During her time at PPG Industries, Helen made many loving and lasting friendships. At the very time, Fidel Castro came into power, Helen was in Cuba to participate in the start up of PPG Industries. As a young woman, Helen was an avid traveler. She visited almost every European country and Alaska, Israel, Morocco, Mexico and Aruba. Helen is survived by her sister, Sister Annamarie, SCN (formerly VSC) and many loving nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews and Godchildren. Helen is also survived by her special (God) daughter, Diane (Fennell) Snyder and Mike and their daughters. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral prayer Wednesday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church, Prince of Peace Parish at 10:00 AM.
