It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Mum, Helen "Nell" McKain, on September 7th of the South Side. Beloved wife and best friend of the late William R. McKain. Daughter of the late William L. and Mary (Kunkel) McNamee. Survived by loving children, Karen Roman, Suzy (the late Michael P. Fallon) McKain-Fallon, Brian (Kathy) McKain, Willy (Francine) McKain, Larry (Daniela) McKain, and Noreen (Mike) Abramovitz. Adored Mum-Mum of Colleen (Chris) Marunich, Paul (Kristen) Roman, Meghan Roman (fiance, Paul Noro), Kaitlin (Jeff) Connors, Brianne McKain, Connor McKain, Bryce McKain, Sarah Abramovitz, Noah Abramovitz, Alaina McKain and Alex McKain. Treasured Great Mum-Mum to Annie, Katie, Eden, Will and Claire. Cherished sister of Larry (the late Kate) McNamee. Preceded in death by brothers, William (Evelyn) McNamee and James (Muguette) McNamee. Our mother was a lifelong South Sider, devoted Catholic, who was a loving and caring wife and mother. Besides spending time with her family she loved winning at Bingo, time at the Market House, getting her hair done, reading and watching the Hallmark Channels. We appreciate the compassionate care our mother received at Marian Manor. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, 2-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St .Prayer service and words of remembrance at 4:00 PM. FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery, 148 Monastery Ave., on Friday at 10:30 AM. FRIENDS PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Paul of the Cross Monastery, 148 Monastery Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. 15203 or Carnegie Library-South Side Branch, 2205 E. Carson St., Pittsburgh, PA. 15203. As we grieve and heal our mother's passing we are grateful through God's Grace, we know our parents are "Forever Together".
