Elena (Sokoloff) Petrunio

Age 84, of the South Side, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Petrunio. Dear mother of Nicholas (Debbie) Petrunio and the late Deborah (survived by Mark) Hryshchyshyn. Grandmother of Larissa Hryshchyshyn, Stephanie Ovsenik, Joseph Petrunio and Justin Petrunio. Great-grandmother of Dean and Noah Brady, and Ayla, Nicholas and Landon Petrunio. Friends received Friday 2-8 PM at Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Saturday 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Funeral Service at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 11:00 AM. A Parastas Service will be held Friday 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
