Edna L. Yonkowski

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Wife of the late John Yonkowski; beloved mother of Donna (Jim) Gregory, Debbie A. Yankowski and Jack (Debbie Yohe) Yankowski; dear grandmother of Scott Gregory, Jenna (Jamie) Roberts and Sgt. Thomas Yankowski, U.S. Air Force; sister of the late Helen, Frances and Violet. Friends received Sunday 12-2 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St., where a Blessing Service will be held Sunday 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dementiasociety.org/donate. Many knew her by her beautiful smile! She would rise to the occasion to help others in need, even to the extent of wanting to go to New York City on 9/11! Helping others gave her great pleasure, and her generous giving spirit would give you the shirt off her back. You will be greatly missed, but you live on in eternity once again a whole person with no infirmities. Now reunited with your large family that you've missed terribly, especially your Mom, who you haven't seen since you were 8 years old! We love you and can't wait to see you again!
