She was born on September 2nd, 1940, in Fredericktown, PA. She lived her entire life in Pittsburgh. Most people knew her as "Lou". She passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae (Miller) Starr, her father, Harry Sellers and siblings, Jessie Mae (Starr) Cogley and James Starr Harrison. She is survived by one daughter, Victoria Pickard and her partner, Michael Lukacevic and three grand-dogs, Boogie, Happy and Mabel, her sister, Joan Marie (Harrison) Sandstrom; as well as several nieces and nephews. Her favorite things in life were playing Bingo, spoiling pets and eating out. She learned how to use an Ipad in her 70s and became inseparable from it until the very end (demanding immediate technical support if one of her favorite apps wasn't working right.) She had a beautiful singing voice, if you were fortunate enough to get to hear her sing. Lou was tough on the exterior but a generous soul on the inside. She will be sorrowfully missed by those who knew her. No funeral services are being held at this time. A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of Lou's favorite local animal charities. Arrangements by Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home.
