Barbara A. (Fallert) Godesky

Barbara A. “Barb” Godesky, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, John W. Godesky; her parents, Pearl and Frank Fallert; and her siblings, Marylou, Ronald, and Sandra.

Barb was a devoted and loving mother to James (Patti), John (Diane), Thomas (Barbara), Wayne, and Debra (Michael) DeNardo. She was also a proud Gram to eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

She is survived by her brother, Robert (Linda) Fallert, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

Barb’s life centered around the people she loved. She was the one her family could always count on — for comfort, support, encouragement, and unconditional love. She found joy in simply being together, whether during holidays, family dinners, phone calls, or quiet everyday moments that became lifelong memories.

Her faith guided her throughout her life, and her kindness and strength touched everyone around her. To know Barb was truly to love her. Her family was her greatest pride, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through them every day.

“As the family says, to the world she was our mom, but to our family she was the world.”

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 PM at Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Thursday 9:00 AM in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Mount Church, Mary-Queen of Peace Parish at 10:00 AM.
