Anna J. (Morgano) Mosco

Age 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Naples, FL. Formerly of Deerfield Beach, FL and Pittsburgh, PA. Wife of the late Robert J. Mosco. Beloved mother of Robert (Claudia) Mosco and Phillip (Rena) Mosco. Grandmother of Christopher (Holly) Mosco, Kierstyn (David) Viviano, Katherine Mosco (James Depfer, III), and Phillip Mosco. Great Grandmother of Everly and Nixon Mosco, Olivia and Sophia Viviano, and James Depfer IV. Daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Morgano, and sister of the late Agnes, Vincent, and Samuel Morgano Jr.

Anna had a zest for life. She and her husband Bob travelled extensively through North America and Europe. She acquired a large circle of friends through her 70 years living in Morningside and as a member of St. Raphael's parish and 35 years of wintering in Deerfield Beach, FL. She was active in church and school activities as well as bowling leagues, bocce leagues and one of her favorite pastimes playing cards with her friends. She had one card club that lasted over 40 years. She enjoyed hosting her family for holidays, having dinner parties or just having a cup of coffee with her friends. As a strong and independent woman she drove her car until she was 90 and maintained two households until she was 96.

Friends received Thursday 2-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Friday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church, St. Jude Parish at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
