Age 79, of Bethel Park, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Amanda, who left us yesterday in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, John S. Shabatura, her daughters, Melissa Elizabeth Kraynick and Abigail (John) Oakes Kraynick-Sovko, her grandchildren, Kayla Elizabeth Sovko, and Tyler Michael Sovko, who were the absolute loves of her life.
Amanda was a woman of warmth, grace, and fierce strength. An avid baker, her kitchen was always filled with the sweet aromas of cookies, cakes, and the laughter of those she loved. She had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went—her kindness genuine, her spirit magnetic. To know Amanda was to be loved by her.
She was not only tender-hearted, but unwavering in her strength—a protector, a fighter, and a steady presence through life’s challenges. Her courage and resilience inspired all who knew her
Each year, Amanda looked forward to her cherished trips to the Outer Banks with her husband, John, where she found peace walking along the shore and joy in collecting seashells—simple treasures that reminded her of nature’s quiet beauty. In many ways, Amanda herself was like those shells: beautifully unique, shaped by the tides of life, and deeply treasured by those lucky enough to find her.
She was deeply loved, and her memory will live on in every wave that rolls onto the sand and every heart she touched
