Age 72, of the South Side, surrendered his life on July 21, 2017, surrounded by his family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Dewey and Margaret Louella Murtaugh; and his beloved niece, Debbie Williams Seibel. Bill lived his life to the fullest despite his many health problems. He was always in a positive mood and had a smile or joke for everyone. Bill will be deeply missed by his surviving family: devoted sister, Margaret Williams; niece, Kim (Jim) Williams Cummings. Bill was a great uncle to the family of Gary and Corrie Klobchar, David and Jessica Klobchar, Dean and Melissa Naccarato, Kevin and Jasmine Cummings and Sean Cummings. Bill's extended family, the Seibels, were a very important part of his life, especially Joe Seibel, his fishing buddy whom he thought of as a son. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Appalachian Project c/o St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 2510 Middle Rd., Glenshaw, PA. 15116, a nonprofit sponsored by Bill's much-loved cardiologist, Dr. Ruffner. A celebration of Bill's life will be held August 6, 2017, from 12:30- 3:30 PM at the VFW Post 6675, 1930 Sidney St., South Side. Help celebrate this great man's life with his family.
