Age 73, of Finleyville, PA., formerly of McMurray, PA., passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. Peggy was born in Mine Lamont, MO. on November 10, 1944. She was raised in Pennyrile State Park and other state parks around KY, she graduated from Dawson Springs High in 1962. On July 21, 1966, Peggy married the love of her life, James Khalil, they shared 52 years of marriage. Peggy enjoyed cards, teaching both grandgirls how to do math by learning poker, she also loved baking bread and making her "famous pizzelles". Peggy's true passion was spending time with her family, especially her "grandgirls", Alayna and Rayanna, she always looked forward to her weekends with them. Peggy was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Anna Rachel Thomson in 2009; her brother, Pat McCormick in 1988; her son, Patrick James Khalil in 2012. She is survived by her husband, James F. Khalil; her son, Michael Khalil of Bloomfield, PA; her daughter, Melissa (David) Siders; and her grandgirls, Alayna Faye and Rayanna Elizabeth Siders, all of Canonsburg, PA. Service will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at 10:30 AM. A gathering of family and friends will be held immediately after at the Lawrence VFW Post 8308 in Lawrence, PA. 15055.
