Age 92, of the South Side, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael. Loving mother of Henry "Hank" (Susan Bennett) Carik; grandmother of Gretchen, Daniel, Anna and the late Amy; sister of John (Harriet) Cassie and the late Margaret (Steve) Kubis. Virginia was active for many years in her church, civic and social events. Friends received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Tuesday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church, Prince of Peace Parish at 10:00 AM.
