Welcome to the memorial page for

Priscilla "Patty" Taylor

August 2, 1939 ~ January 10, 2018 (age 78) 78 Years Old

On January 10, 2018, Priscilla "Patty" Taylor died peacefully, surrounded by members of the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, where she made her home for the past 22 years. She is now re-united in Heaven with her dear mother, Violet Kaczor and her brother, Ronald Taylor. Patty is survived by her nephew, Martin (Christine) Taylor, and their six children; her two housemates, Michele and Gerry; as well as many other members of the Emmaus Community including Direct Support Professionals, staff, residents, volunteers, board members, and friends. Patty and her mother lived together in Carnegie for many years caring for each other. When Patty's mom passed away, the Emmaus Community opened its doors and its heart to welcome her. To know Patty was to love her. She was always kind, thoughtful, caring, and outgoing. She loved children, playing her guitar, and visiting with friends. She loved dressing up for special occasions, having her hair and nails done and wearing jewelry. Most of all Patty was a lover of life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The Emmaus Community would like to thank the staff of Interim Healthcare Hospice for their loving and compassionate support during the past few years. Visitation will be held on Monday 4-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Tuesday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adalbert Church, Prince of Peace Parish, 160 So. 15th St. at 10:00 AM. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park.
