Brother of Christine Stein and Pamela Rush; dear friend of Raymond Seitz; dear uncle of Stacey Yule, Melissa Seddon, Joshua Rush and Joseph Rush; also many loving great-nieces and nephews. Friends received Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Funeral Prayer Saturday 9:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery at 10:00 AM. John was a former longtime Ward Chairman of the South Side and worked for the City Controller's Office.
